This is awesome. I live for these kinds of details. I have nothing to add to the debate one way or another, but I never really bought the arguments for Daniel having been born in Egypt or NYC either, really. I don't know that there's anything in canon, besides this, which would disprove those theories, but I always wondered why the Egypt thing was so strong in fanon.
