I'm glad you liked Harrid and Sallis. I wanted to do this A) for some warped reason, I like writing Daniel from an outsider's perspective a lot and B) those two really got short shrift in the actual episodes. It's interesting what you say about Harrid's self-discovery, because I realized early on its very nature would not allow me to do my usual "writing out of order". I had to follow Harrid as things happened to figure out what he would discover/how he'd react to what Daniel and Vala/Sallis did.
That's interesting what you say about the pacing. It is the "weird" part of the story, with a protagonist who can't act with even a blink but yet be "active" in the tale. Sometimes fractions of seconds occur, other times it's large chunks of time as he processes things. It was definitely an experiment.
I recently discovered mitchells_sg1. And tealc_fic was how I joined lj (and met you *BG*). I don't know of such a comm either. Do you think it would be popular? I don't know of a Daniel fic archive on lj either; this is a not-Daniel Daniel story.
