Here by way of stargateficrec. This totally made my morning. There are so many bits that jump out -- the interesting OCs, Marks as the fleet's own rabbit-foot, the gravity-bounce and radiation waves that make sea-legs a necessity in space, the blink-and-you-miss-him ghost of Continuum!Cam, Brandon's "spooky ancient mariner thing," flyboy loyalty when picking a favorite SG teams, the scent of orchids (just when I had honestly forgotten Landry was stuck on the ship too) -- but perhaps the neatest hat-trick is how this fic takes advantage of the reader's knowledge of the episode. While reading, I caught myself subconsciously chanting "but I know what happened! I know! I know! Let me tell you!" Of course, the reader can't tell Brandon and Tommy they know what happened -- no more than Teal'c can really break his silence, which is kinda the whole point, isn't it? It's the question of who is a witness and different ways of speaking. There is a whole meta undercurrent in here on fandom and memory and the yarns we spin (He would not remember. But we do, don't we, old friend?) but its done without getting in the way of the story.
...which is all just a very long-winded way to say that I loved it. And the Gilligan's Island bit made me chuckle.
