Fic Meme
Snurched from izhilza and astrogirl2 on lj. (in toto from astro, I even stole her commentary about it!) Also, fanfic writing, I miss you! I want to come back!
Here's kind of a nifty fic meme:
I have 59 works archived at AO3. Pick a number from 1 (the most recent) to 59 (the first thing I posted there), and I'll tell you three things I currently like about it.
Although it strikes me that this could get somewhat embarrassing, either because I might find myself going, "But I hate this story now! Thanks for reminding me!" or because it's a little awkward to go trumpeting your own awesome. But, hey, we'll see!

1. He had sworn an oath to reunite Sha're and Daniel Jackson. Before, his guilt regarding Sha're had been abstract–knowing he had chosen an innocent woman to be Amaunet's host, the beloved of a man he was now honored to call friend. But now, he had met Sha're, spoken with her. And yet, he had seen the Horus guards surrounding Nagada, the ha'tak over the Stargate. If Teal'c did not act, they would all perish. Emotion choked his throat as he fought to speak. "You know we cannot."
2. I don't know if the fanwank I came up with worked (or even that it's the truth--but it's Teal'c's theory in my brain). But...most fics (and even canon!) have the other characters translating Teal'c expressions. I'm proud of playing with the idea from Teal'c's perspective--such as how he wanted to wear the helmet or how he initially reacted to Daniel's response to his unconscious body communication about the ordeal in Cimmeria. Because of course that was no way a punt to get out of Daniel contininuing to argue about Shau'ri. No siree. *whistles innocently*
3. I like how Teal'c is the one leading Daniel at the beginning, but by the end, it's Daniel leading Teal'c. (Because you know it had to be Daniel's stupid idea to go in pretending to be a prisoner...although thinking now, Teal'c could've gotten the idea from Star Wars: A New Hope--but I don't think Teal'c would've been that cavalier with Daniel's life).
