You know how you have this really cool idea for a story in your head, and then when you go to write it, it comes out crap? I've written five pages give or take, and the characters aren't playing nice.

Silly characters. Please cooperate in this story. Please, please.

Teal'c, stop obsessing about how the sky is purple. I know, you keep saying it because I think it's funny to picture you constantly saying purple, but...you've got scouting and protecting and being cool to do. Silly warrior!

Daniel, stop baiting Teal'c and coming up with annoying things to say. You are much wittier than this most of the time. Plus, you've got cultural technobabbling and supportive stuff to do later. Right now, you're just distracting. Bad archeologist!

Sam, if you don't get the boys in line and taking your readings, I'm taking your ~~playstation~~scanner away that tells you why the sky is purple and turning the sky a normal blue anyway even though I've figured out a way to combine it in the plot. Naughty science-geek!

Stop trying to make this crackfic! This is seriuz biznez! :-p

And Fickle Muse, stop trying to counter the crackfic by making the description and action dull. This is a cool idea you gave me, and outlined...with plot twists! It shouldn't open reading like an encyclopedia entry! No, really!

I hate it when they don't play nice. And it is really frustrating when what you have in your head doesn't make it onto the screen the way you want it too. I hope you can round them up and whip them into shape soon.

Yes, silly "writing process". Why can't it come out of my head full formed, with peroper grammar and spelling...like Athena from Zeus's head? I'm waiting for that invention.

Yeah, trying to. Maybe better luck tomorrow. Maybe if I write more of the general plot, I'll be able to hone the tone of it better.

Or maybe I should just write a purple sky crackfic and get it out of the characters system. LOL

I hope your plot reveals itself soon. Maybe threaten to have one of them shot (nonfatally) if they don't reveal it soon. Maybe shoot one of them anyway to see if that gives it a direction. [must stop thinking homicidally about my own team fic, hee!]

I'm waiting for it too. It would be handy (though I don't want Haphaestus hitting me over the head with at chisel every time I want to write a story)

Ah, well, you've got five pages more than I have. I have a plot idea but it's quickly becoming infeasible, due to the deadline. *sighs*

Aw. Maybe it can scale down? Deadline/schmedline. That never stops me. Hee hee. You can do it! *hopeful optimism*

The only reason Jack is behaving is he's not in this particular scene. I fully expect him to be just as cranky in the upcoming one.

I'm thinking of threatening to shoot one of them if they don't start cooperating. *bwah ha ha*

Ahh, yes - that explains it. I did wonder. He's notorious for being a right uncooperative SOB.

I think threats of violence are perfectly understandable, under the circumstances. ;)
