I'm sorry this took me forever to get around to reading - but it was sure worth the wait.
I love this - the extrapolation on what Jack's life is like in DC, him piecing together all the bits and pieces. I love the play between old team and new team and Jack coming back to SGC - that mixed feeling of coming home and yet it no longer being his home.
And the team and the hard decisions and the covering for each other and what they tell who and that double layer of protecting each other that doesn't work quite right despite meaning well by it. And Vala! And, of course, Sam and Daniel.
I know you sweated and angsted through writing this fic - but it was worth it. And I wanna eat at Antonio's! (actually, the description reminds me a lot of a restaurant near my college)
