There's been lots to enjoy this last week, but I thought I'd rec some random things I've spotted.

redial_the_gate did a hilarious April Fool's spoof recap of a "Wormhole X-Treme" episode called The Sun Also Blows. The commenters do a freakishly familiar satire of W-X's fandom too. Everyone is much wittier than I could ever hope to be.

Fig's Gen Fic day was a great success with the Alphabet Soup for Daniel. Also check out thecomment fic by jd3000!

Everyone and their brother or sister has been rec'cing rydra_wong's Walked Right out of the Machinery. And that's because it's just THAT good. It's AU Jack post "Abyss" where Kanan is still with him. If you're leery of snaked team, read it anyway. This fic just wraps you up and wrings you out in its very real settings. Prepare for an emotional roller coaster that is SO WORTH IT.

High praise for rigel_7's Daniel/Shau'ri post-movie era fic That Inverted Bowl We Call the Sky. I was speechless in trying to give feedback. I only wish I could write naturally and as beautifully as she does here.

Lessons in First Contact by Khentkawes. Very cute story about the debriefing after Season Ten's "Bad Guys". Great team banter.

I'm getting excited that BSG is coming back on. It's a dark show, but so well written and acted and...it's amazing. (Just *so* dark). TwoP did a Recap of the Sci Fi press conference. If you like the show, you should read it. I now have cemented love for Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol on BSG). SG-1 fans will know him as random Jaffa who dies at beginning of Maternal Instinct, or different random Jaffa that beats up Teal'c in an Ishta episode. Heh.

There was also a sighting of another familiar face (aside from the reporter's girl crush on "boomer" satterfield): "Say hi in passing to the guys from Eureka, tell them I like their show, which gets me big smiles. I'm nearly blinded by the effect of the dual gleaming teeth of Ed Quinn and Colin Ferguson. Wow. Not quite as wow as Amanda Tapping who is standing two feet away from them. She looks amazing out of that ugly Stargate uniform." (Sorry AT fans, no pics).

Also, just heard the UNOFFICIAL news from TVShows on Demand that Continuum will be released July 29th!!!! (in US) Whee!

Hmm. I'm sure I'm forgetting more. Oh well.

And yes, too far. Apparently the screening for the cast and 20 fans was today going by Joe Mallozzi's blog. The cast certainly didn't dress up, lol, but there's pics of AT, LD, CJ, MS, and BW and RCC there.

LOL at the countdown. It turned out quite cool as a premiere too.

The thing about BSG, it's one of those shows that even the characters I don't like I end up caring about anyway if when something happens to them.
