Fighting with the Muse

Following Pepper's lead. (And we both blame kalquessa for it all).

Me: Daniel isn't cooperating with me! Wah!

Daniel: You want me to bitch and eat cake. I'm not feeling particularly bitchy today. Plus I'm full at the moment.

Me: Do you understand the icon inspiration? It's a theme! Look I already skipped past you and did Sam's and Landry's.

Sam: (raises hand) Do you remember the notes you just got back from the beta on the done scenes? You totally punted my section. Rewrite is needed.

Me: Yes, yes. I know. I've got notes. I just don't want to sound repetitive to other things that happen. Daniel's not being cooperative in *that* one either.

Daniel: Hey! Teal'c is equally to blame for that section. We're trying. You just keep changing your mind.

Me: Who's changing who? I've tried writing your section FOUR count them FOUR times. It keeps dying.

Daniel: I think it just means you're indecisive.

Teal'c: My section was written quite eloquently in one draft *iz smug*

Jack: Hey, the icon is about me! I'm not in here so much.

Me: *makes shuushing noises* It's a *theme*. And you get to be the grand finale!

Jack: Yeah, but you don't even do *five things* memes. And now you're writing ten mini stories!

Me: It just turned into a...a thing! Look, I've still got NINE completely other icon fics to write! NINE ICON FICS! People are waiting!

Sam: You know your beta had a suggestion for Daniel's cake section. Something about covering him with cake and she could lick off the frosting?

Daniel: What?!

Me: See? Don't tempt me.

Muse: *files fingernails* Look, you're the one who keeps getting distracted betaing stories and rereading OLD fic.

Me: That's...just...totally not the point.

Muse: Not to mention throttling up that jacksamfriends thing. Didn't you already sign up for stargate_summer too? Someone needs to knuckle down and let me do my work.

Me: Oh Shush!

Yeah, I have a huge FL and I try to stay off the computer on weekends, so there's always stuff I miss. Consider this your free pass to point me at posts I haven't commented on, especially if you particularly wanted me to see them. I hate to miss stuff, but there's no way to catch up on all of it on Monday, when the mail pile is huge.
